Bandol region

La Font Des Pères benefits from a remarkable winegrowing soil of Provence. Located at Beausset, it exists at the heart of the Bandol appellation region, where the best harvests of red grapes in Provence come from.

The influence of the sea, which is only a few kilometers away, added to a sunny, dry and windy climate, are the reason for the flourishing of the Mourvedre, considered the king of the red grape variety.

  • The steep slopes oblige us to use a special tractor. The production is far from the one expected but we put aside these constraints whenever our custumors show their appreciation of the freshness and elegance of our wines !

A unique & remarkable exposure

La Font Des Pères is especially enriched by its position, which gives special aromas to the wine. 200 steep terraces which match the contours of the land, host the roots but in only two rows, mostly.

Exposure to the North, at the hight of between 250 and 350 meters, ensures freshness and elegance to the red wines.

The rows located lower are dedicated to the whites and the rosés, where the soil is richer, nevertheless remains well drained.
